Savoir Vivre is not a conversion of a redundant commercial barge. She is:
- a modern, efficient, purpose built ship specifically designed to cater for eight sophisticated, adventurous, comfort seeking travelers. Whilst traditional in style, her systems and facilities are new and modern.
- of steel construction and boasts all modern amenities including air conditioning and private facilities in each of her 4 cabins, and sumptuous, coordinated and contemporary decor.
- equipped with a generous 16ft salon which converts into a fully functioning dining room in moments. This is ideal for delicatessen lunches on the canal.
A little more about the ship...
Such innovations means that Savoir Vivre is extremely economical:
- All her engines and systems have less work to do and are powered by brand new state of the art technology rather than the incumbent mechanicals of a donor barge.
- Savoir Vivre therefore emits a fraction of the carbon emissions of typical barge conversions. Barge cruising is essentially 'green', we like to think of ourselves as the 'greenest'.
